Founded in 2003, the Photographic Society of Dharmaraja College has been proudly serving the college in events, livestreams, competitions, and enlightening young enthusiasts in the field of photography.

Providing comprehensive media coverage and teaching young photography enthusiasts both practically and theoretically to aid future photographers of the world.
SPECULO’25 is an all-island photographic competition and exhibition organized by the Photographic Society of Dharmaraja College, providing an exciting opportunity for Sri Lankan photographers to enhance their outstanding skills and talents. Participants are encouraged to submit their most captivating and thought-provoking images that capture the essence of life on the island. The categories for the competition include Color, Monochrome, Wildlife, Street, Macro, Architecture, and Mobile photography, ensuring a wide array of creativity and perspectives.
In addition to the competition, the society is hosting physical workshops conducted by renowned photographers, providing invaluable insights and tips to help participants refine their craft. The event aims not only to celebrate the art of photography but also to build a supportive community of young photographers who can learn from and inspire each other.
Winners will be awarded exciting prizes and have their work showcased in an exhibition at Kandy City Centre, accessible to an open audience. This platform ensures that despite the challenges posed by the current situation, creativity and artistic expression continue to thrive and reach new heights.
